Inter-Club Competitions
Inter-club competitions are the next level of competition after monthly competitions and members are encouraged to enter their best work. Camberwell Camera Club participates in a number of these competitions where selected members’ images are submitted as a club entry. The main competitions are:
Inter-Club Portrait Competition
Camberwell is the organising club and a variety of other clubs are invited to participate. There are 3 categories in the competition:
single person
two or more people
abstract

Monochrome Competition
Hosted by the Knox Photographic Society of Victoria.
4 Clubs Competition
This annual competition is between the Eastern Suburbs, Maroondah, Waverley and Camberwell camera clubs. There are 3 categories;
Monochrome (Digital Projected Images)
Colour (Digital Projected Images)
Monochrome or Colour (Prints)
The host club is rotated between the 4 clubs and a light supper is provided by the host club on awards night (subject to any health directives).
The Eastern Inter-Club Competition
The Eastern Inter-Club is hosted by Maroondah Photographic Society each year around August. The categories are Digital Open and Digital Black and White (not monochrome).
South Australia and Camberwell Audio-Visual Competition
This is an annual competition hosted alternately by the AV Group of South Australia and Camberwell Camera Club. Five entries from each club are assessed by a judge appointed by the host club.
Victorian Association of Photographic Societies (VAPS)
Open to all Victorian clubs with categories for Prints, Digital Images, Audio-Visual and the Viv Ball award for top Australian Landscape Print.
Two Hemispheres Competition
An annual competition between Camberwell and the Leighton Buzzard Photographic Club in the UK. Each club enters 30 digital images on any topic and there are two judges, one from each club. Viewing night is accompanied by a BBQ held at the club rooms, usually on the 1st Monday of March.
Camberwell Nature Competition
This is an annual international competition, open to clubs but not to individual entries.
There are 3 categories in the competition:
Animals
Botany
Landscape
The call for entries is usually around the beginning of the year with a cut-off date at the end of February. The competition date is around early April.
