The Portrait Group held a meeting at Wolf's home on Sunday 18th May. We had the opportunity to experience portraiture using the Club's studio lights. We learned how the positioning of the soft boxes effected the character of the portraits and how additional fill-in lights could be used to highlight features on the models.
We also were able to experiment with portraiture in natural light by moving outside and using reflectors to enhance the lighting on the models.
We were fortunate to be able to have three willing and cooperative models in Marianna and Wolf (two of Wolf's children) and Ben, a friend of the family.
Anna is planning the next Portrait Group meeting, which will give members a chance to learn more about the effective use of flash photography. This will be held after the workshop for all Club members on flash photography to be held in July.
