Photoshop Techniques – Reverse Unsharp Mask
Here is a contrast enhancement technique demonstrated in Better Photoshop Techniques Issue 26 2011
Open an image like this one, taken inside a workshop where the lighting was not adequate to give high contrast.
The image has that typical flatness of a digital photo.
Apply > sharpen >unsharp mask at ~40,250,0 (Choose amount according to image)
Voila, the contrast is immediately improved!
